Our original pancake house was the first all natural and organic pancake house in Michigan (possibly the world)! Lansing natives Bob and Jim Sawyer, with wives Lynn and Cindy and friends Jeff O’Connell and Dave Haddix, were natural food pioneers with a dream of generations of healthy Michiganders.

All of our menu items are made from scratch and to-order, using all natural and organic ingredients. Our meats are fresh, never frozen, our produce is seasonally local, and we feature Eggland’s Best eggs. Our pancake batter is prepared daily from Westwind Milling certified organic flours, Michigan’s oldest operating stone-ground mill. We believe in the "locavore" concept and are attempting to provide meals prepared from the best of Michigan’s natural and organic foods.

The goal of our restaurant is to provide customers with the most natural, healthiest, best tasting breakfast and lunch in the world. The first restaurant was 30 years ahead of its time. Now, with the second and third generations of Sawyer's and Friends, we've revived our dream in Sawyer’s Gourmet Pancake House & Catering.

We are a good food, not a fast food restaurant. When we are busy, please be patient. (Remember, all of our menu items are made from scratch!)
