Midnight Gourmet Club is an after hours brunch-style all natural and
organic buffet available every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from
11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. It is available by confirmed prepaid
reservation on each hour only and is exclusive to members and their
guests (limit of three guests per reservation). The buffet will
feature a selection of all natural, organic, and gourmet brunch items
to choose from.”
Why did you decide to start the Midnight Club? “We
wanted to provide a casual, friendly, and secure, after-hours dining
experience to the Greater Lansing Area customers.”
How much does it cost? “A
one year membership costs $25.00. Reservations for the buffet
cost $13.00 for each member and $15.00 for each guest (limit of three
guests per member, per reservation). However, because of the
increasing cost of food, we do reserve the right to change our
membership fee and reservation charges in the future.
Additionally, there will be an automatic 20% gratuity on each
reservation.”
How do the reservations work? “Each
night there are five reservation slots available: 11:00 - 11:50, 12:00
- 12:50, 1:00 - 1:50, 2:00 - 2:50, and 3:00 - 3:50 For now
reservations will be taken by phone from our authorized representative,
but in the near future, members will be able to make reservations and
pay for them directly through our website. We have a maximum of
48 seats reserved per time slot and members can reserve tables from one
to four persons (due to the limited number of seats available we
recommend that guests make reservations for any special occasions well
in advance). To ensure that our members have enough time to relax
and enjoy the food and atmosphere while not intruding on the next hours
reservations, we have to insist that members and guests adhere to the
reservation schedule and arrive no later than fifteen minutes past the
time of their reservation. If a member fails to arrive in a
timely manner their reservation will be made available to members on a
waiting list. Members who lose their reservation due to
tardiness, fail to show up at all, or do not provide more than 24 hours
notice prior to cancelling their reservation will have their account
assessed a $25.00 cancellation fee. Any positive balance can be
applied toward future reservations.
"All
reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the date and time
of reservation. Members without prior reservations can request to be
added to the waiting list for any given reservation slot. Members
on the waiting list will first be admitted to fill any unreserved
tables at the start of the reservation time. Remaining members on
the list will be admitted at 16 minutes past the start to fill any
reservations lost due to tardiness or cancellation. While it is
acceptable to show up on site and request to be added to the waiting
list, we would recommend that members call ahead to register their
names and the number of their guests. Members and their guests
who are on the waiting list will be served on a first come first served
basis. While calling ahead will ensure you a higher spot on the
list, if you do not arrive by the start of the reservation time, your
name may be overlooked in favor of someone who is present.”
You mentioned that it would be a secure atmosphere? “Yes,
in order to provide our members with a safe, enjoyable, atmosphere we
will have security personal on premises. Our doorman will verify
your membership card and reservation prior to admittance. At the
discretion of our security personnel, any members or guests that behave
in an unruly or unsocial manner will be refused admittance or asked to
leave and may be subject to the $25.00 cancellation fee and, pending
review, possible revocation of their membership. Although it is a
private club, no alcohol, drugs, weapons, or public displays of passion
will be permitted on the premises; including the building, grounds, and
parking lot.”
When will the Midnight Club start? “The
club will be officially open for business on Thursday, June 26th,
2008. It is an exclusive club and only 2000 memberships will be
sold this year. They are on sale now and we are currently
accepting advanced reservations.”
How do I join? “Memberships
can be purchased in a few different ways, either from one of our
authorized sales representatives, through the restaurant directly -
seven days a week from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., or coming soon, through our
website with either PayPal or credit card. Only cash or credit
card payments will be accepted. Members must fill out and return
the registration form and $25.00 membership fee, agree to all of the
‘terms and conditions of membership’ outlined here, and agree to abide
by the ‘rules and regulations’ of Sawyer’s Midnight Gourmet Club - a
complete list of which will follow. All of the appropriate
paperwork can be provided by our sales reps, picked up from the
restaurant, or downloaded from our website at
www.gourmetpancakehouse.com.
How do you handle membership renewal?: "Memberships
last 12 months from the end of the month in which they are
purchased. Renewal is not automatic. Members will be
notified approximately 30 days prior to the expiration of their
membership through the mail and by email (members are responsible for
notifying the club and / or updating their online account of any
changes in contact information). The notice will include a
renewal form, bill for the annual membership fee, and instructions for
renewing online; members simply have to either return the renewal form
and fee, or process their renewal online."
